Zionist Strikes Kill 42 in Gaza as Civilian Toll Mounts

At least 42 Palestinians were killed and dozens more injured in Zionist attacks across the Gaza Strip early Wednesday, according to medical and civil defense sources. Gaza’s Civil Defense reported that 22 people, including nine children and six women, lost their lives in an airstrike targeting displaced civilians in the Al-Daraj neighborhood of Gaza City. Two additional casualties were confirmed after a residential building in the same area was shelled.

Further strikes hit multiple neighborhoods across Gaza City. In Sabra, five people were killed and several injured, while in Al-Ramla one civilian was killed. In Tel Hawa, the Israeli army targeted a vehicle carrying displaced Palestinians, killing two and wounding others. Israeli operations also extended to central Gaza, where strikes on two houses in Nuseirat refugee camp killed five people, including women and children. Meanwhile, five Palestinians seeking aid were shot dead near a distribution site in Rafah, southern Gaza.

These attacks follow the Zionist entity’s announcement on September 21 that it would escalate ground aggression on Gaza City as part of a broader plan to gradually occupy the enclave. Since October 2023, more than 65,300 Palestinians—most of them women and children—have been killed. The continuous bombardment has devastated Gaza, leaving it uninhabitable while starvation and disease spread among the civilian population.
