Zionist defence systems fail to intercept Houthi ballistic missile

The Yemen-based Houthis said on Saturday they hit a “military target” in central occupied Jaffa with a ballistic missile, injuring at least 16 people.
The Yemeni group confirmed using a “hypersonic ballistic missile” named “Palestine 2” in an overnight attack, targeting the southern area of the coastal city.
“The missile hit its target accurately, and the defences and interception systems failed to intercept it,” Houthi spokesman Yahya Saree said in a televised speech.
Saree said the attack was a response to the “massacres against our brothers in Gaza,” as well as the Zionist aggression against Yemen.
The successful missile strike demonstrates the limits of the “Israeli military’s billion-dollar aerial defence systems,” a Houthi official said.
In a series of posts in both Arabic and Hebrew, Houthi Hezam al-Asad, a member of the Houthi Supreme Political Council in Yemen, reiterated that “the failure of all Israeli defence systems means that the heart of the Zionist enemy is no longer secure.”
Al-Asad added that the Zionist entity’s interceptor missiles that were supposed to stop the attack failed and caused more damage.
On Thursday, the Zionist forces launched strikes against ports and energy infrastructure in Houthi-held parts of Yemen and threatened more attacks against the Yemeni group.
The Palestinian Popular Resistance Committees hailed the attack, saying it demonstrated the Zionist occupation’s “inability to confront Yemeni missiles.”
In the meantime, Hebrew media reported that Saturday’s attack has made it “clearer than ever” that “Israel is unable to confront Yemen,” particularly in terms of intelligence capabilities.
Since the beginning of the Zionist war on Gaza, the Houthis have launched over 200 rockets and more than 170 explosive drones at the Zionist entity, most of which have been intercepted by the U.S., and the Zionist forces.
