Zionist Agression on Gaza Leaves at Least 21,000 Children Disabled (UN)

The United Nations Committee on the Rights of Persons with Disabilities (CRPD) reports that at least 21,000 children in Gaza are living with disabilities resulting from the ongoing Zionist genocidal war that has persisted since October 7, 2023.
The committee, composed of experts who meet biannually in Geneva, revealed that approximately 40,500 children have sustained war-related injuries due to the hostilities over the past two years.
“Reports also describe people with disabilities being forced to flee in dangerous and undignified conditions, such as crawling through sand or mud without mobility aids,” the report said.
Furthermore, the committee highlighted that restrictions on humanitarian aid entering the Gaza Strip have disproportionately impacted disabled individuals, many of whom lack access to food, clean water, and sanitation, relying on others for their survival.
According to the committee, it has been informed of at least 157,114 injured individuals, with more than 25% at risk of facing lifelong disabilities between October 7, 2023, and August 21 of this year.
