Works of 9th Algerian-Egyptian High Commission Underway

The works of 9th session the Algerian-Egyptian Joint High Commission for Cooperation, jointly chaired by Algerian Prime Minister Sifi Ghrieb, and his Egyptian counterpart, Mostafa Madbouly, are underway In the Egyptian capital Cairo.

This session, held from 23 to 26 November, comes in implementation of the high directives of the President of the Republic, Abdelmadjid Tebboune, and his brother, President Abdel Fattah Al-Sisi, during his visit to Egypt in October of last year, and in response to their firm commitment to promoting the historical bonds of brotherhood and solidarity between the two countries and peoples, and to foster bilateral cooperation in various fields, particularly those related to trade and investment exchanges between the two countries.

During the preliminary meetings, draft agreements were also agreed upon covering the sectors of agriculture, housing, energy, financial dialogue, local development, exhibitions, consumer protection, culture, Opera House, Al-Azhar University, labor, social solidarity, sports, and youth.

It was also agreed to develop relations in the fields of health, medicine, communications, education, tourism and others. Prime Minister is accompanied during this visit by a high-level ministerial delegation comprising: Minister of Interior, Local Authorities and Transport, Said Sayoud, Minister of Finance, Abdelkrim Bouzred, Minister of Industry, Yahia Bachir, Minister of Agriculture, Rural Development and Fisheries, Yacine El-Mehdi Oualid, Minister of Energy and Renewable Energy, Mourad Adjal, Minister of Housing, Urbanism, the City and National Planning, Mohamed Tarek Belaribi and Minister of Vocational Training and Education, Arhab Nassima.
