West Bank: Zionist Forces Arrest at Least 25 Palestinians

Ramallah, July 24, 2024 – From Tuesday through Wednesday morning, Zionist forces have arrested at least 25 Palestinians from the West Bank, including occupied Jerusalem.
In a joint statement, the Ministry of Detainees and Ex-Detainees Affairs and the Palestinian Prisoners Society reported that those detained include two injured individuals, two female students, a journalist, a child, and former detainees. The arrests occurred across the governorates of Tulkarem, Hebron, Ramallah, Bethlehem, Tubas, Nablus, and Jerusalem.
The ongoing occupation has been marked by extensive raids and abuses, including physical assaults on detainees and their families, direct gunfire with intent to kill, using detainees as human shields, and widespread destruction of homes and infrastructure.
Since the beginning of the ongoing genocidal war, the number of arrests in the West Bank has exceeded 9,785. This figure includes individuals arrested from their homes, at military checkpoints, those who surrendered under pressure, and those taken as hostages.
During these arrest campaigns, Zionist forces have also been reported to engage in severe beatings, threats against detainees and their families, and significant vandalism of citizens’ homes.
It is noteworthy that these arrest campaigns are among the most consistent and systematic policies employed by the Zionist forces. They serve as a key instrument in the “collective punishment” policy targeting Palestinians amid the ongoing offensive and genocide in Gaza.
