UNRWA Calls for Continued Global Solidarity to Support Gaza’s Reconstruction

NEW YORK (United Nations) – The United Nations Relief and Works Agency for Palestinian Refugees (UNRWA) has urged the international community to maintain its solidarity with Gaza, emphasizing the need for sustained support to help its people rebuild their lives.
“UNRWA urges continued global solidarity so that the people of Gaza receive the support they need to rebuild their lives,” the agency stated in a message on social media. It further stressed that “it is high time that the international community recommits to finding a just political solution. It is the only way to bring Palestinians the peace they deserve.”
Gaza has suffered nearly 16 months of Zionist aggression, resulting in the deaths of more than 48,000 Palestinians—most of them women and children—while triggering an unprecedented humanitarian catastrophe. A ceasefire has been in effect in the Palestinian enclave since January 19.
