Tebboune and Ramaphosa Reaffirm Support for Palestinian Statehood with Al-Quds as Capital

ALGIERS – The Algerian President, Abdelmadjid Tebboune, and the President of South Africa, Cyril Ramaphosa, have jointly reaffirmed their unwavering support for the Palestinian people’s right to self-determination. Both leaders emphasized the necessity of establishing an independent and sovereign Palestinian state within the 1967 borders, with Al-Quds as its capital.
This stance aligns with international law and the numerous resolutions passed by the United Nations regarding the Palestinian cause. The reiteration of this position reflects the enduring solidarity of Algeria and South Africa with the Palestinian people in their struggle for justice and sovereignty.
The declaration was made during President Ramaphosa’s state visit to Algeria, underscoring the shared values and strategic cooperation between the two nations. Both leaders called on the global community to uphold its commitments to resolving the Palestinian question in line with international legal frameworks.
