Sonelgaz: Adjal Discusses Cooperation with South African Ambassador

Mourad Adjal, CEO of Algerian power and gas company Sonelgaz, met on Wednesday with Ndumiso Ndima Ntshinga, the South African Ambassador to Algeria, to explore avenues for enhancing bilateral cooperation in the energy sector, as indicated in a company press release.

The meeting presented an opportunity to evaluate potential partnerships between Sonelgaz and its South African counterpart, with both parties discussing collaboration in manufacturing and service localization, according to the statement.

In this context, Adjal emphasized Sonelgaz’s willingness to foster relationships with South African companies, underscoring Algeria’s role as a dependable energy supplier and the group’s esteemed reputation both regionally and internationally.

For his part, the South African ambassador expressed his country’s eagerness to expand cooperation with Algeria, particularly in the energy domain, by reinforcing partnerships between Sonelgaz and South African energy operators.

During their discussions, both parties agreed to initiate video conferences to further explore cooperation opportunities and develop a joint action plan aimed at advancing African economic integration.
