Algerian–Turkish Parliamentary Talks Focus on Strengthening Bilateral Cooperation

The Speaker of the Algeria’s People’s National Assembly (Lower House of Parliament), Brahim Boughali, was received Saturday in Istanbul by the Speaker of the Grand National Assembly of Turkey, Numan Kurtulmus, on the sidelines of the 152nd General Assembly of the Inter-Parliamentary Union (IPU), according to a statement from the Assembly.
The statement said that the meeting provided an opportunity to review the state of bilateral relations between Algeria and Turkey.
Both sides exchanged views on ways to strengthen and develop these relations across various fields in a manner that serves their common interests and reflects the depth of their historical ties.
The two officials also discussed the level of parliamentary cooperation between their respective legislative bodies, emphasizing the importance of intensifying coordination and elevating parliamentary diplomacy to broader horizons to advance issues of mutual interest on the international stage.
