Algerian company Sonatrach said on Sunday that its participation in the 29th World Gas Conference, held in Beijing, China, was a distinguished success, highlighted by the presentation given by Dr. Nadia Haddoum, Project Manager at the Executive Directorate responsible for business development and marketing.
This work, presented by Sonatrach and focused on “Innovative Solutions for Managing Instability in Drilling Carbonate Reservoir Wells,” received the prestigious Industry Award at the World Gas Conference for Best Practices Across the Entire Value Chain. The presentation by Sonatrach’s representative was selected from among hundreds of submissions by companies from around the world, all of which were subject to a rigorous evaluation process by an international review committee, Sonatrach said in a statement.
The certificate and the distinguished medal for this award were presented to Dr. Haddoum during the closing ceremony of the conference on May 23, which was preceded by an initial recognition during the presentation of her work in a discussion session, the source said.
According to the statement, Dr. Haddoum has previously received several accolades in recognition of her scientific work and research. Notably, she was awarded first prize for Best Oral Presentation at the 18th International Petroleum Conference held in Johannesburg. Furthermore, Sonatrach selected her as a member of the Arab Women’s Forum, acknowledging her as an outstanding figure in the fields of science, technology, and engineering.
