Somali President Hassan Sheikh Mohamud paid tribute on Tuesday to the martyrs of Algeria’s War of National Liberation during a solemn ceremony at the Martyrs’ Sanctuary in Algiers.
The Somali leader laid a wreath at the commemorative stele and recited Al-Fatiha from the Holy Qur’an in memory of the heroes of the November 1, 1954 Revolution.
President Mohamud arrived in Algeria on Monday for an official visit aimed at strengthening bilateral relations between the two nations.
