Six Lebanese Martyred in Zionist Strikes on Southern Villages

Six Lebanese civilians were martyred on Thursday in a series of Zionist strikes targeting villages in southern Lebanon, according to the latest figures from the Lebanese Ministry of Health, cited by the National News Agency (ANI).

The ministry reported that two people were martyred in an enemy strike on the village of Baraachit, south of Beirut, on Thursday afternoon. Earlier in the day, three others lost their lives in a strike targeting a vehicle in the village of Yohmor al-Chaqeef, while another individual was martyred early in the morning when an enemy drone attack struck his vehicle in the locality of Maaroub.

A previous report had confirmed one martyr and one injured individual. Lebanon has been under a ceasefire agreement since November 2024, following months of aggression by Zionist occupation forces.

However, Lebanese authorities have documented nearly 1,100 violations of the truce by the Zionist entity, leading to the martyrdom of nearly 100 people.

Under the terms of the ceasefire agreement, the Zionist entity was supposed to complete its withdrawal from southern Lebanon by January 26. However, the deadline was extended to February 26, and Zionist forces continue to occupy five positions in southern Lebanon.
