Russian State Duma Condemns the Zionist Entity’s Rejection of a Palestinian State

Moscow, July 25, 2024 – The Russian State Duma voted today to condemn the Zionist entity’s decision to reject the establishment of an independent Palestinian state, as reported by the Palestinian News and Information Agency (WAFA).

In a press release, the Russian State Duma announced that a draft resolution condemning Zionist entity’s stance against the creation of a Palestinian state was presented to the council. “The statement was approved by a majority vote,” the release added.

Earlier, Russian President Vladimir Putin emphasized that the current situation in Gaza is not merely warfare but “a complete annihilation of the civilian population.” He underscored that “there remains hope for the establishment of a Palestinian state, and no single power should monopolize the pursuit of peace in the Middle East,” a goal towards which Russia aims to contribute.

Since October 7, 2023, the Zionist forces have launched a devastating offensive on Gaza, resulting in more than 39,000 deaths and over 90,000 injuries. This unprecedented humanitarian catastrophe has displaced more than 85% of Gaza’s population, equivalent to approximately 1.9 million people.
