Putin, Xi Condemn Zionist entity, Call for Political Solution to Middle East Crisis

Russian President Vladimir Putin and Chinese President Xi Jinping held a phone conversation on Thursday in which they strongly condemned Zionist actions in the Middle East, labeling them as violations of the UN Charter, according to Kremlin aide Yuri Ushakov.

Ushakov said both leaders share “identical approaches” to the ongoing conflict and agreed that the crisis cannot be resolved through military means. “Russia and China are in full agreement that the situation in the Middle East requires a political solution,” he stated.

Putin reiterated Russia’s readiness to mediate if needed, and both sides agreed to instruct their respective departments to exchange information and coordinate closely in the coming days.

The discussion also covered the recent G7 summit, which both leaders viewed as a diplomatic setback for Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy, highlighting tensions among the participating countries.

Additionally, Putin and Xi reviewed bilateral relations and confirmed plans to hold full-scale talks in China on September 2.
