President Tebboune Receives Special Presidential Representative for the Middle East and Africa, Russia’s Deputy Defence Minister

Algerian President Abdelmadjid Tebboune held a pivotal meeting with senior Russian officials to discuss bilateral relations and regional security matters. The Russian delegation included Mikhail Bogdanov, Deputy Foreign Minister and Special Representative for the Middle East and Africa, and Yunus-Bek Yevkurov, Deputy Minister of Defense.

The meeting was attended by key Algerian officials, including Army General Saïd Chanegriha, Minister Delegate to the Minister of National Defence and Chief of Staff of the Algerian National Army; Ahmed Attaf, Minister of State, Minister of Foreign Affairs and African Affairs; and Boualem Boualem, Chief of Staff at the Algerian Presidency.

Discussions centered on enhancing Algeria-Russia cooperation across various domains, particularly defense and foreign policy. The dialogue underscored both nations’ commitment to fostering a strategic partnership and addressing pressing regional issues.
