Minister Attaf Takes Part in OIC Council of Foreign Ministers’ 51st Session in Istanbul

Algerian Minister of State, Minister of Foreign Affairs, National Community Abroad, and African Affairs, Ahmed Attaf, participated on Saturday in Istanbul in the opening session of the 51st session of the Council of Foreign Ministers of the Organization of Islamic Cooperation, the Algerian Ministry of Foreign Affairs said in a statement.

The opening ceremony saw the Republic of Turkey assume the chairmanship of the Council of Foreign Ministers of the Organization of Islamic Cooperation, succeeding the Republic of Cameroon. Moreover, the session was notably marked by the participation of the President of the Republic of Turkey, Mr. Recep Tayyip Erdoğan, who delivered a keynote address on the occasion, the statement said.

It is worth noting that the two-day session will include a special meeting focused on the ongoing Israeli aggression against the Islamic Republic of Iran. Additionally, it will address the most urgent issues confronting the Islamic world, with the Palestinian cause taking center stage—facing escalating challenges amid the ongoing genocide against the Palestinian people in the Gaza Strip, the source added.
