Military Parade Highlights Algeria’s Army as Guardian of Security and National Renaissance

ALGIERS – The military parade commemorating the 70th anniversary of the outbreak of the glorious Algerian national liberation war mirrored the great strides made by the People’s National Army in development, modernisation and professionalization to maintain the country’s security and stability, El Djeich magazine wrote in its December’s issue.

“This military parade powerfully showcased the People’s National Army’s remarkable progress in development, modernization, and professional readiness, demonstrating its unwavering commitment to protecting Algeria’s security and stability, so as to reinforce the vision of building a new, strong, and victorious nation in an atmosphere of peace and calm,” said the magazine in its editorial entitled “Pride of the Homeland, Shield of the Nation.”

“These efforts complement ongoing initiatives in all fields, notably economic, social, and diplomatic domains, reflecting an unprecedented dynamism evident in numerous development projects and major infrastructure undertakings. The coming phase is expected to gain significant momentum, particularly following the President of the Republic’s appointment of a new government team, which notably includes Army General Saïd Chanegriha as Minister Delegate to the Minister of the National Defense and Chief of Staff of the People’s National Army,” reports the El-Djeïch magazine.

It is certain that “this change, occurring in response to the deep economic, technical, and technological changes experienced by Algeria, as well as to emerging regional security challenges,” notes the same source, will allow “the completion of our country’s renaissance project, whose most important priority is to ensure the citizens’ comfort and meet their needs.”

“The strengthening of our country’s foundations and the consolidation of its prestigious position on regional and international scenes is a great responsibility that falls upon us all, pushes us to work tirelessly, so that Algeria remains always victorious and aspires to achieve even more accomplishments in various fields” and this, thanks to the “enormous capacities and energies of the Nation, the consciousness of its great people, the solidarity of its creative young people, drawing its strong will from the principles and values of our eternal Revolution and armed with sciences to be in sync with the developments the world is experiencing in the field of technology and knowledge,” underlined the source.

El-Djeïch magazine emphasizes that “safeguarding Algeria’s security and stability in a challenging global landscape requires unwavering commitment. In a world that offers no space to the weak or indecisive, the nation must rally its most loyal citizens to protect the national state and its republican principles. This demands building a robust defensive capability that not only deters potential threats but also instils confidence and pride in every patriotic citizen.”

“The military parade was a resounding success, magnificently capturing the event’s profound significance. It unequivocally demonstrated the People’s National Army’s extraordinary human, organizational, and material capabilities. As the proud successor to the National Liberation Army, the People’s National Army has proven itself the ultimate guardian of Algeria’s security, a formidable shield against which any hostile machinations or conspiracies are destined to fail”, added the source.

The magazine affirmed, in its editorial, that “our army, which has been and will eternally remain a source of pride and greatness for the entire Algerian people, will continue with all the necessary determination and rigor to defend every inch of this land of the martyrs, thus making the greatness of our Nation, deterring our enemies and contributing to the building of a glorious and victorious Algeria.”

It also highlighted that the staffs of the People’s National Army have demonstrated their skills, availability, professionalism as well as their full readiness to defend the homeland and preserve its independence and sovereignty.

“It is also, without doubt, an encouragement for them to continue on the same path, by intensifying and multiplying efforts in order to face, with determination and rigor, the threats and risks of all forms and all types to which our country may be confronted,” concludes the editorial of El-Djeïch.
