Mansouri delivers a written message from the Algerian President to his Gambian counterpart

BANJUL – Algerian Secretary of State to the Minister of Foreign Affairs, responsible for African Affairs, Selma Bakhta Mansouri, delivered on Tuesday a written message from President Abdelmadjid Tebboune to the Gambian President Adama Barrow, the Algerian Ministry of Foreign Affairs said in a statement.
The meeting provided an opportunity to review bilateral relations and explore ways to strengthen them, the source said.
In this regard, Mansouri conveyed President Tebboune’s warm greetings to President Barrow and expressed Algeria’s readiness to work closely with Gambia to enhance cooperation between the two countries.
In turn, President Barrow expressed his appreciation for the deep ties between the two nations and commended Algeria’s leadership in Africa, particularly its role as president of the United Nations Security Council, where it advocates for African issues, especially those related to maintaining peace, security, and combating terrorism.
