
The Libyan Tribal Union has voiced its support for the statement made by Algerian Foreign Minister Ahmed Attaf regarding Libya, following his meeting with Stephanie Khoury, the Head of the United Nations Support Mission in Libya.
In an official statement, the Union remarked, “The Libyan Tribal Union proudly and appreciatively followed the statement of the Algerian Foreign Minister during the press conference held in Algiers with the Head of the UN Mission in Libya, Stephanie Khoury, who is visiting Algeria to discuss the Libyan crisis.”
The Union endorsed the comments made by Algerian Foreign Minister Ahmed Attaf, who reiterated Algeria’s call for all parties to cease their interference in Libyan affairs.
The Libyan Tribal Union also extended its gratitude to the government and people of Algeria for their fraternal and supportive stance towards Libya and its citizens.
It is worth noting that during the meeting between the Foreign Minister and the Head of the UN Support Mission in Libya, Stephanie Khoury, Attaf renewed Algeria’s call for all foreign parties to withdraw from Libyan affairs and to put an end to policies and practices that fuel division, sow discord, and deepen the rift among the people of a unified nation.
