Lebanon: Three Journalists Killed in Zionist Bombing of Their Residence

Three Lebanese journalists were killed early Friday in a bombing by the Zionist forces that targeted their residence in southern Lebanon, according to media reports.
The Lebanese news agency stated that “three journalists were killed in an enemy raid that struck their residence in the city of Hasbaya.”
Additionally, local channel Al-Manar announced that its cameraman, Wissam Qassem, was among those killed in the attack.
Ghassan Bin Jiddo, chairman of the board for the Lebanese channel Al-Mayadeen, reported that “the channel’s cameraman, Ghassan Najjar, and broadcasting engineer, Muhammad Reda, were also killed in the same incident.”
Bin Jiddo remarked, “Our colleagues from Al-Mayadeen were present with other journalists in Hasbaya when the occupation targeted their residence.”
He further stated, “The targeting of journalists’ residences was intentional, and there were injuries among media professionals working for other Arab channels.”
“We hold the occupying forces fully responsible for this war crime, which specifically targeted journalistic teams,” he added.
The ongoing Zionist aggression against Lebanon, which began on October 8, 2023, has resulted in 2,574 deaths and 12,001 injuries as of October 23, according to the Lebanese Ministry of Health.
The latest escalation, which has persisted since September 23, has displaced 1.3 million people from their homes, according to the United Nations.
