Kremlin: Too Early to Discuss Agenda of Ukraine Talks in Geneva

The Kremlin said it is premature to discuss the agenda of ongoing negotiations on the Ukraine conflict in Geneva, stressing that the current round of talks must first be completed.

Kremlin spokesman Dmitry Peskov said any details on the outcome of the discussions would be provided later by Vladimir Medinsky, head of the Russian delegation, once the negotiations conclude. He emphasized that officials are awaiting the completion of the current round before outlining further steps.

In additional remarks, Peskov said neither Russia nor China has conducted nuclear tests, reaffirming Moscow’s position on strategic stability. He also noted that Russia consistently opposes the fuel blockade of Cuba and continues to provide assistance to the country.

The spokesman added that Vladimir Putin’s upcoming meeting with Cuba’s foreign minister is particularly significant given the country’s current challenges. He further reiterated Russia’s readiness to accept excess enriched uranium from Iran, in line with previously stated positions.
