“Israeli” Occupation Rejects Over 140 Requests for Access to Gaza in Two Months, UN Official

A UN official said on Tuesday that the “Israeli” occupation authorities have rejected more than 140 UN requests to enter the northern Gaza Strip over the past two months.

The remarks were made in a statement by a senior official of the United Nations Office for the Coordination of Humanitarian Affairs in the occupied Territory (OCHA), Jonathan Whittall.

He explained that the “Israeli” occupation army continues its air strikes on the Jabalia and surrounding areas, targeting hospitals and health care workers.

He added that the UN has tried to reach northern Gaza over the past two months, but the Zionist authorities have rejected all requests more than 140 times.

He noted that Palestinian families in the Jabalia area have been living under a Zionist siege for more than two months.

The UN official stressed that Palestinians forcibly displaced from the northern Gaza Strip from areas such as Jabalia, Beit Hanoun and Beit Lahia are living under extremely difficult conditions in the vicinity of Gaza City.
