Iran reserves enrichment right, says only negotiations can yield mutual agreement

Iranian Foreign Minister Abbas Araqchi said that Tehran retains its uranium enrichment capabilities and will decide when and how to resume activities based on evolving circumstances, IRNA news agency reported on Sunday.
In an interview with the Financial Times, Araqchi said that Iran reserves the right to resume its enrichment program, emphasizing that the U.S. must understand technology cannot be destroyed by bombs and that only negotiations can lead to a mutually satisfactory agreement, the source said.
In June, the Zionist entity and the U.S. launched strikes on Iranian nuclear facilities during the so-called 12-day war.
Iran’s chief nuclear negotiator told the newspaper that Iran will only rejoin negotiations if convinced of Washington’s genuine intent for a win-win deal.
Araqchi also criticized the European parties for invoking the so-called “snapback mechanism” under the 2015 Iran nuclear deal, saying that it signals the end of their role in the nuclear negotiations.
