Boughali Receives Mauritanian Minister of Equipment, Transport in Nouakchott

ALGIERS -The Speaker of the Algerian People’s National Assembly (Lower House of Parliament), Brahim Boughali received on Tuesday, at the headquarters of his residence in Nouakchott, the Mauritanian Minister of Equipment and Transport, Ely Sid’Ahmed Elveirick who paid him a courtesy visit, the lower house said in a press release.

The meeting enabled to “review ways of developing bilateral cooperation, notably in the field of Transport, while emphasizing the necessity of promoting the Algerian-Mauritanian partnership in this vital sector, in the best interests of the two brotherly countries,” added the same source.

The discussions also addressed “the importance of simplifying administrative measures at border posts in order to facilitate the circulation of people and goods,” of encouraging the activity of Algerian economic operators and of developing an efficient and fruitful economic partnership.

At the end of the meeting, the two parties reaffirmed the importance of the fraternal relations uniting Algeria and the Islamic Republic of Mauritania, emphasizing that the consolidation and expansion of economic cooperation to various fields constituted the ideal way for the strengthening of these relations for the benefit of the two peoples, concluded the press release
