Algeria’s ALNAFT, Oman’s “Petrogas” Explore Cooperation Opportunities in Algiers

Mourad Beldjehem, Chairman of the Board of the National Agency for the Valorization of Hydrocarbon Resources (ALNAFT), met with a delegation from the Omani company “Petrogas,” led by its founder and President, Dr. Mohamed Al Barwani. The purpose of their meeting was to discuss potential cooperation and investment opportunities between the two parties in the hydrocarbon sector, as announced by the Agency on Thursday.

During the meeting, which took place on Wednesday at the Agency’s headquarters in Algiers, Beldjehem encouraged “Petrogas” to “take advantage of the extensive investment opportunities available in Algeria and work towards establishing a mutually beneficial partnership in the country.”

He highlighted the economic and legal reforms that Algeria has initiated to encourage and attract foreign investments.

Additionally, ALNAFT noted that “Petrogas Exploration and Production” is a subsidiary of the Mohammed Al Barwani Holding Group, established in 1982 in the Sultanate of Oman, and is recognized as one of the largest multinational groups in the Middle East and Africa.
