Algerian President officially appoints Sifi Ghrieb as Prime Minister and tasks him with forming the government

ALGIERS – Algerian President Abdelmadjid Tebboune received on Sunday Sifi Ghrieb, the Acting Prime Minister, whom the President officially appointed as Prime Minister and tasked with forming the government, according to the Algerian Presidency.
“Today, I was honored by the President of the Republic with my appointment as Prime Minister and thereby the formation of the new government. He gave me all the necessary instructions to prioritize serving the Algerian citizens first and to advance the national economy to the ranks befitting Algeria as a key regional and international player,” PM Ghrieb said.
“I renew my commitment, along with that of the entire government team, to diligently serve the citizens on the ground and to consult with all national groups and segments in service of our beloved country, Algeria,” he added.
