Algerian President Holds Private Talks with Mozambican Counterpart

ALGIERS – Algerian President Abdelmadjid Tebboune held one-on-one talks on Saturday with the President of the Republic of Mozambique, Daniel Francisco Chapo.

The talks then expanded to include members of both countries’ delegations.

Earlier, the Algerian President held an official welcoming ceremony for his Mozambican counterpart at the headquarters of the Presidency of the Republic. The two Presidents listened to the national anthems of their countries and inspected detachments from various units of the People’s National Army, which rendered them an honorary salute, before posing for a commemorative photo.

The President of Mozambique, who is on a working visit to Algeria as part of his participation in the 4th Intra-African Trade Fair (IATF 2025), also paid respects at the Martyrs’ Sanctuary in Algiers, honoring the memory of the heroes of the glorious National Liberation War.

He then visited the Mujahid National Museum, where he was briefed on the various stages of Algerian history, with particular emphasis on the glorious National Liberation War.
