Algerian Minister of State, Minister of Energy arrives in Addis Ababa on working visit

Algerian Minister of State, Minister of Energy, Mines, and Renewable Energies, Mohamed Arkab, arrived on Monday in Addis Ababa, Ethiopia, leading a high-level delegation that includes the CEO of Sonatrach, Rashid Hachichi, the CEO of Sonelgaz, Mourad Adjal, as well as senior officials from the Ministry, Sonatrach, and Sonelgaz, the Algerian ministry said in a statement.
The minister and his accompanying delegation were welcomed upon their arrival at Bole International Airport by the Deputy Foreign Minister of the Federal Democratic Republic of Ethiopia, Birtukan Ayano, along with a delegation from the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, as well as the Chargé d’Affaires at the Algerian Embassy in Addis Ababa, Mouhamed Khaled, the statement said.
This visit, the statement adds, is in line with the directives of President Abdelmadjid Tebboune and follows up on the outcomes of his recent trip to the Federal Democratic Republic of Ethiopia. The visit aims to explore opportunities for enhancing bilateral cooperation between the two countries, especially in the fields of hydrocarbons, energy, mining, and renewable energy, which would contribute to the development of the partnership, exchange of expertise and experiences, and strengthening joint investments between Algeria and Ethiopia.
