Algerian Minister of State and Minister of Foreign Affairs, National Community Abroad, and African Affairs, Ahmed Attaf, was received on Wednesday in Brazzaville by the President of the Republic of the Congo, Denis Sassou N’Guesso. This meeting was part of an official visit undertaken in his capacity as a Special Envoy of President Abdelmadjid Tebboune, as stated by the ministry.
During the visit, the Minister of State delivered a letter from President Abdelmadjid Tebboune to President Denis Sassou N’Guesso, reaffirming Algeria’s commitment to continue enhancing efforts aimed at strengthening bilateral relations and improving the effectiveness of collective action within Africa.
The meeting provided a valuable opportunity to review the progress made under the Algeria-Congo partnership, reflecting the agreements reached between the leaders of both countries in July 2022 in Algiers. It also served as a platform for discussions on current continental issues and underscored Algeria’s support for President Denis Sassou N’Guesso’s efforts to unify Libya, in line with his role as chair of the African Union’s High-Level Committee on Libya.
