
The Algerian Minister of State and Minister of Foreign Affairs, National Community Abroad, and African Affairs, Ahmed Attaf, engaged in discussions on Wednesday in Brazzaville with the Republic of Congo’s Minister of Foreign Affairs, Jean-Claude Gakosso. This meeting took place during Attaf’s official visit as a special envoy of President Abdelmadjid Tebboune, according to a statement from the ministry.
The meeting served as an opportunity to explore ways to maintain the positive momentum in relations between the two brotherly nations. Both presidents have expressed particular interest in various sectors, including defense, interior affairs, energy, mining, air transport, trade, and higher education, as noted in the statement.
Furthermore, the two ministers discussed several important issues on the African Union’s agenda in preparation for upcoming continental events, the communiqué concluded.
