Algerian FM Arrives in Istanbul for OIC Foreign Ministers’ Meeting

Today, Friday, Minister of State and Minister of Foreign Affairs, National Community Abroad, Ahmed Attaf, arrived in Istanbul, Turkey, to attend the 51st session of the Council of Foreign Ministers of the Organization of Islamic Cooperation, hosted by Turkey on June 21 and 22. His participation comes at the request of President Abdelmadjid Tebboune, as stated by the ministry.

The statement indicated that “discussions during this session are expected to focus on developments in the Middle East following the Israeli aggression against Iran, as well as the ongoing genocidal war against the Palestinian people in Gaza. Additionally, various political, developmental, and organizational issues on the agenda of the Organization of Islamic Cooperation will be addressed.”

Moreover, Attaf will also participate later today in an urgent session of the Arab League Council at the ministerial level, which will be dedicated to discussing the developments related to the Israeli aggression against Iran and its ramifications for the region, the ministry’s statement added.
