Algeria Transfers Tassili Airlines to Air Algérie to Boost Domestic Air Transport

ALGIERS- The State Participations Council (CPE) held its 196th session on Wednesday, chaired by Algerian Prime Minister Nadir Larbaoui, to review the transfer of Tassili Airlines’ shares from Sonatrach Group to Air Algérie, The Prime Minister’s Office said in a press release.

“In implementation of the decision of the President of the Republic to create a national airline for domestic transport, the State Participations Council (CPE) held its 196th session on Wednesday, July 16, 2025, under the chairmanship of Prime Minister, Nadir Larbaoui, focusing on reviewing the transfer of Tassili Airlines ownership from the Sonatrach Group to Air Algérie,” said the source.

This “significant” operation is part of the national vision for developing domestic air transport, aimed at strengthening air links between different regions of the country, boosting their economic appeal, and improving transportation services for citizens, the source concluded.
