Algeria to Join China’s 2nd International Cultural and Tourism Exhibition

The Algerian Ministry of Tourism and Handicrafts has announced that Algeria will participate from November 1 to 3 in the 2nd edition of the International Exhibition for Cultural and Tourism Consumption in China, taking place at the Chaoyang Exhibition Hall in Beijing.

This participation aligns with the government’s action plan for the tourism sector, which aims to implement the “Destination Algeria 2030 Vision,” a strategy designed to enhance international promotional activities through engagement in various events and exhibitions.

The sector’s involvement in the Beijing Exhibition is intended to boost Algerian representation at international fairs and exhibitions throughout 2024 while raising awareness about the country’s rich tourist attractions and capabilities.

To ensure a significant presence, the tourism sector will promote Algeria as a tourist destination through its pavilion, which will feature promotional materials that highlight various aspects of tourism, as well as the nation’s historical and archaeological sites. Additionally, videos showcasing some of Algeria’s exceptional tourist locations and displays of select handicraft products will be presented, according to the statement.

The exhibition aims to “strengthen the integrated development of all sectors within the cultural and tourism industry, with a specific focus this year on the interactions between culture and tourism in China and Beijing, emphasizing resources, innovations, and tourism integration.”
