Algeria Participates in Extraordinary OIC Foreign Ministers’ Session in Jeddah

ALGIERS — Assigned by the Algerian President, Abdelmadjid Tebboune, the Minister of State, Minister of Foreign Affairs, National Community Abroad and African Affairs, Ahmed Attaf, arrived Sunday in Jeddah, Saudi Arabia, to take part in the extraordinary session of the Council of Foreign Ministers of the Organization of Islamic Cooperation (OIC), set to take place on Monday, the ministry said in a statement.

This extraordinary meeting, “called by the brotherly Republic of Türkiye, in its capacity as acting president of the Ministerial Council of the Organization, will focus on examining the grave developments that the Palestinian cause is witnessing, in particular, and the Middle East region, in general, given the ongoing genocidal war in Gaza, Israeli plans aimed at militarily reoccupying the enclave and deporting its population and the Israeli expansionist project that threatens the entire region,” according to the same source.
