Algeria: Minister Arkab holds talks with Libyan Minister of Oil and Gas

KUWAIT CITY – Algerian Minister of State, Minister of Energy, Mines, and Renewable Energy, Mohamed Arkab, held talks on Sunday with the Libyan Minister of Oil and Gas, Khalifa Rajab Abdulsadek, ahead of the 113th meeting of the Council of Ministers of the Organization of Arab Petroleum Exporting Countries held in Kuwait City, according to a statement from the Algerian Ministry of Energy and Mines.
According to the statement, the two ministers discussed opportunities for partnership and investment across various energy sectors, particularly regarding Sonatrach’s resumption of operations in Libya and the expansion of these activities in petroleum services and training. Moreover, they explored ways to enhance cooperation between the Libyan Electricity Company and Sonelgaz, including the potential for electrical connection between the two nations.
Both ministers commended the “strength and solidity of the bilateral relations and the close ties between their countries’ energy companies,” the statement concluded.
