Algeria : FM Ahmed Attaf Holds Talks With Lebanese Counterpart in New York

ALGIERS – The Algerian Minister of Foreign Affairs and National Community Abroad, Ahmed Attaf, held bilateral talks in New York with the Minister of Foreign Affairs and Expatriates of the Lebanese Republic, Abdallah Bouhabib, as per a ministry statement.

During this meeting, Attaf expressed to his Lebanese counterpart “Algeria’s firm condemnation and denunciation of the barbaric Zionist aggression against Lebanon, a brotherly country.”

He reaffirmed “Algeria’s unwavering support and solidarity with the Lebanese brothers during this difficult and exceptional time.”

“As a non-permanent member of the United Nations Security Council, Algeria stands ready to back the Lebanese brothers. It will spare no effort in defending the sovereignty, integrity and security of Lebanon, amidst the growing escalation of the Zionist occupation which is, in fact, an extension of the genocidal war waged against the Palestinians throughout their occupied territories, particularly in Gaza,” Attaf stressed.
