PARIS – In preparation for the September presidential election, extensive measures have been implemented to facilitate voting for the Algerian community in France, with the process starting on Monday. Over 150 polling stations have been set up across various French departments to enable Algerian citizens to cast their votes between September 2-7, 2024, accommodating both professional and personal schedules.
Special transportation arrangements have been made for Algerians residing in remote areas of France, ensuring easier access to polling stations. These efforts aim to maximize participation and convenience for voters across the country.
The National Independent Authority for Elections, which is organizing the election, has deployed four coordinators in France, based at the Algerian consulates general in Paris, Marseille, Lille, and Lyon. Additionally, 18 delegates are stationed at the various consulates to ensure that the electoral process is smooth and transparent.
