Syrian Army Advances Across Euphrates Under Ceasefire Agreement with SDF

Under a ceasefire and integration agreement between Damascus and the Syrian Democratic Forces (SDF), the Syrian Army has continued to take control of territories stretching from the Raqqa region east of the Euphrates River to the Turkish border without clashes.

On Monday morning, Syrian forces secured the Tishrin Dam southeast of Manbij and crossed to the opposite bank of the Euphrates, advancing toward the area between Ayn al-Arab and Raqqa city center. The army also gained control of the Ayn Issa junction town, located east of the Euphrates and north of Raqqa, as well as territories in the southern parts of the Ayn al-Arab region—all without fighting. A third advance line from Raqqa city center toward the Tal Abyad–Rasulayn corridor was similarly completed peacefully.

Under the agreement, the SDF confirmed its full withdrawal from Raqqa and Deir ez-Zor provinces. Prior to the deal on Sunday night, the Syrian Army had already secured Ayn Issa along the M4 highway, ensuring a key road connection between Ayn al-Arab and Hasakah.
