Somali Government Condemns Zionist Official’s Visit to “Somaliland”

The Federal Government of Somalia strongly condemned a Zionist official’s visit to the “Somaliland” region, describing it as a “flagrant violation of Somalia’s sovereignty, unity and territorial integrity.” In a statement, the Somalian Ministry of Foreign Affairs condemned “in the strongest terms” what it describes as an “unauthorized incursion by a Zionist official into Hargeisa.
Mogadishu reaffirms, in this regard, that the city of Hargeisa is an “integral and inseparable part of the sovereign territories of the Federal Republic of Somalia.” Somali diplomacy lambasted the act, describing it as a “flagrant violation of Somalia’s sovereignty, unity, and territorial integrity.” The statement said that this behavior represents an “unacceptable interference in the internal affairs” of Somalia, demanding the immediate cessation of any infringement on its national sovereignty.” The Somali government’s reaction comes as several countries and international organizations have called on the Zionist entity to immediately rescind its decision to recognize the “Somaliland” region, reaffirming their support for Somalia’s territorial unity.
