
ALGIERS— The President of the National Assembly of the Republic of Slovenia, Urska Klakocar Zupancic, arrived in Algiers on Friday evening for a three-day official visit, announced the People’s National Assembly (APN) in a statement.
Upon her arrival, Ms. Zupancic was welcomed by the APN Speaker, Brahim Boughali, who “extended the official invitation to strengthen the privileged relations between the two legislative bodies.”
Mr. Boughali was accompanied by Monder Bouden, APN Vice-Speaker, Mohamed Khouane, President of the Foreign Affairs, Cooperation, and Community Committee, and Maria Amraoui, President of the Algeria-Slovenia Friendship Parliamentary Group.
The visit aims to enhance the excellent bilateral relations and explore mechanisms for promoting cooperation in various fields. It will also allow Ms. Zupancic and her accompanying delegation to discover some of Algeria’s archaeological, historical, and cultural sites, according to the same source.
During her stay in Algeria, Ms. Zupancic will hold discussions with the presidents of both chambers of Parliament and will have several meetings with high-ranking state officials.
