Putin Open to Diplomatic Resolution of Ukraine Conflict — Kremlin

Kremlin spokesperson Dmitry Peskov affirmed that President Vladimir Putin remains open to a diplomatic resolution of the Ukraine conflict, emphasizing that all of Putin’s actions are aimed at ensuring Russia’s present and future — the primary purpose of the ‘‘special military operation’’.
Peskov highlighted the resilience of the Russian economy, noting its capacity to achieve all strategic objectives despite external pressures. Responding to remarks by US President Donald Trump expressing “disappointment” over the pace of the Ukrainian settlement, Peskov stated that Putin is guided solely by Russia’s national interests.
He further stressed that the obstacles preventing progress toward a political and diplomatic settlement in Ukraine “are not Russia’s fault,” reaffirming Moscow’s readiness to pursue dialogue under fair and balanced conditions.
