President Tebboune receives well-wishes from Italian counterpart

ALGIERS — The Algerian President, Abdelmadjid Tebboune, received on Saturday well-wishes from the President of the Italian Republic, Sergio Mattarella, on the occasion of the 70th anniversary of the outbreak of the glorious Liberation Revolution.

“As the friendly people of Algeria mark the 70th anniversary of the outbreak of the Liberation Revolution, I extend both the Italian Republic’s good wishes and my personal best wishes to you, dear President, and to all your citizens,” the message said.

The Italian president’s message continued: “Built on longstanding and robust relations, the friendship between Algiers and Rome continues to drive productive dialogue and fruitful cooperation in many areas of common interest. I am also delighted by the remarkable strength of our bond, which we look forward to further developing together.”

“Italy and Algeria will continue to advance peace, stability, and prosperity in the best interests of the entire Mediterranean region—a region of vital importance, especially in these challenging times of violent conflicts and growing tensions,” the Italian President noted.

“Until our next meeting, I extend to you, dear President and friend, my utmost respect and heartfelt congratulations, along with my best wishes for your personal happiness and the prosperity of the Algerian people,” Mattarella concluded.
