OCHA Warns of Imminent Humanitarian Collapse in Gaza

New York – The United Nations Office for the Coordination of Humanitarian Affairs (OCHA) has warned of a rapid and dangerous deterioration in the humanitarian situation in the Gaza Strip, reporting daily bombings of tents, schools, homes, and medical facilities that have led to dozens of deaths and injuries.
In its latest update, posted on its official website Tuesday night, OCHA stated that hospitals are critically short on medical supplies, ambulances are no longer functioning, and Gaza’s water network is nearing total collapse. The report also highlighted the catastrophic fuel shortage, noting that the last reserves are being used for the most essential operations, but are expected to run out imminently, with no new shipments allowed in for months.
OCHA stressed that a sharp rise in deaths is likely unless the Zionist occupation authorities permit urgent fuel deliveries. Meanwhile, a new displacement order issued Tuesday evening by the Zionist forces, targeting parts of Khan Yunis—especially makeshift tent areas—has worsened conditions further. OCHA warned that the remaining areas where people have been forced to crowd, now reduced to only 15% of Gaza’s territory, have become fragmented and are no longer safe.
