
ALGIERS — The promotional event for the 4th Intra-African Trade Fair (IATF 2025), set to run from September 4-10 in Algiers, officially launched on Tuesday in the capital.
The opening of this event took place in the presence of the Minister of Foreign Trade and Export Promotion, Kamel Rezig, the Minister of Domestic Trade and National Market Regulation, Tayeb Zitouni, the Secretary of State to the Minister of Foreign Affairs, in charge of African Affairs, Bakhta Selma Mansouri, the Chairman of the Fair’s Advisory Council, and former President of Nigeria, Olusegun Obasanjo, the Secretary General of the African Continental Free Trade Area (AfCFTA), Wamkele Mene, the Commissioner for Agriculture, Rural Development, Blue Economy and Sustainable Environment of the African Union Commission, Moses Vilakati, and officials from the African Export-Import Bank “Afreximbank,” as well as the President of the Algerian Economic Renewal Council (CREA), Kamel Moula.
This meeting caps off a series of promotional events organized across key African markets, including Nairobi (Kenya), Accra (Ghana), Johannesburg (South Africa) and Lagos (Nigeria).
Organized by Afreximbank, the AfCFTA General Secretariat and the African Union Commission in partnership with Algeria, the IATF provides a platform for businesses, small and medium enterprises (SMEs), investors and decision-makers to explore trade and investment opportunities and establish partnerships.
