Euro-Mediterranean Observatory: Systematic Ethnic Cleansing in Northern Gaza

The Euro-Mediterranean Human Rights Observatory has revealed alarming evidence of systematic efforts by the Zionist entity to forcibly displace Palestinians from northern Gaza. This strategy employs brutal tactics, including widespread massacres, mass killings, bombings targeting hospitals, and the destruction of essential infrastructure.
Recent reports indicate that the current wave of violence aims to eradicate the Palestinian presence in the region at an unprecedented pace. Residents who refuse or are unable to flee are met with lethal force and direct attacks. The occupying forces have intensified military operations in key areas, including Beit Lahia and Jabalia Camp, prompting airstrikes and leafleting campaigns urging the local population to evacuate.
Zionist aircraft have been dropping leaflets demanding the evacuation of Beit Lahia, including shelters and hospitals, directing residents towards the “Indonesian” hospital in Jabalia. This evacuation order has resulted in the forced displacement of thousands, and those remaining face continued threats to their safety.
In addition, the “Kamal Adwan” hospital, which serves as a critical care facility for victims of the ongoing aggression, has been targeted for evacuation. Medical personnel have bravely resisted these orders, despite facing acute shortages of blood and medical supplies, alongside relentless bombardment.
The observatory has reported that most shelters in Jabalia Camp have come under fire, directly targeting displaced individuals in a bid to force compliance with evacuation orders. Tragically, recent attacks on schools in the area have resulted in significant casualties, further underscoring the urgent need for humanitarian intervention.
The situation in northern Gaza is dire, with widespread destruction of homes and infrastructure contributing to a humanitarian crisis. The current toll stands at nearly 700 dead and over a thousand injured, with many individuals still trapped under the rubble of collapsed buildings. The blockade and restrictions on movement compound the crisis, preventing rescue operations from being carried out.
The Euro-Mediterranean Human Rights Observatory has called on the United Nations to classify northern Gaza as a “disaster area” and to implement immediate measures to halt the ongoing atrocities. The observatory emphasizes that the international community’s silence in the face of these crimes implicates it in the escalating violence and humanitarian disaster in the region. The call for action is not merely a plea for support, it is an urgent demand for the protection of civilians and the restoration of human dignity in the face of systematic ethnic cleansing.
