Attaf arrives in Damascus to deliver a message from Algerian President Abdelmadjid Tebboune to Ahmed al-Sharaa

Algerian Minister of State and Minister of Foreign Affairs, Ahmed Attaf, arrived on Saturday in Damascus for an official visit to Syria as a special envoy of President Abdelmadjid Tebboune, the Algerian Ministry of Foreign Affairs said in a statement.
The visit is part of the historical relations between the two countries and their peoples, with the aim of exploring ways to strengthen and elevate these ties to the highest possible levels, the statement said.
During his visit to Damascus, Minister Attaf is expected to be received by the President of the Syrian Arab Republic in the transitional period, Ahmed Hussein al-Sharaa, to deliver a written message from President Abdelmadjid Tebboune, the source added.
The Algerian Ministry of Foreign Affairs confirmed that the visit also aims to reaffirm Algeria’s solidarity and support for Syria during this critical period in its contemporary history.
