Algeria’s Minister of Labor Praises Strong Economic, Investment Ties with Qatar

Algerian Minister of Labor, Employment and Social Security, Abdelhak Saihi, hailed on Wednesday, the depth and dynamism of economic and investment relations that unite Algeria and the State of Qatar, the ministry said in a press release.

After having received a high-level delegation from “Ooredoo” group, Saihi highlighted “the depth of fraternal relations between Algeria and the State of Qatar,” emphasizing “the dynamism that characterizes these relations, notably at the economic and investment levels.” In this respect, the minister discussed the innovative national initiatives and programs aimed at “developing investment in human capital, notably through specialized training and encouraging young people to integrate into the employment market, thanks to the different mechanisms and support systems put in place by the State, in coherence with sustainable development goals.” He emphasized that “the Algerian market abounds with skills, and that Algeria deploys considerable efforts in the field of training, particularly in modern technologies and artificial intelligence, in order to meet the needs of a national economy in full transformation,” added the press release.

For his part, the CEO of “Ooredoo,” Aziz Aluthman Fakhroo, praised Algerian skills, emphasizing the group’s interest in leveraging “these exceptional human resources.” He also outlined the group’s significant growth and measures taken to preserve jobs at the level of its subsidiary in Algeria, as part of its commitment as an “active economic partner,” said the same source.
