Algeria’s Army General Chanegriha Signs Condolence Book at Libyan Embassy (MDN)

ALGIERS, 25 Dec 2025 – On instructions from the Algerian President, Supreme Commander of the Armed Forces and Minister of National Defense, Abdelmadjid Tebboune, the General of the Army and Minister Delegate to the Minister of National Defense, Chief of Staff of the People’s National Army (ANP), Saïd Chanegriha, presented his condolences on Thursday and signed the condolence book opened at the Libyan Embassy, following the death of General of the Army Mohammed Ali Ahmed Al-Haddad, Chief of the General Staff of the Libyan Army, and the delegation accompanying him in a plane crash, according to a statement by the Ministry of National Defense.
“At the headquarters of the Embassy of the State of Libya in Algeria, and on behalf of the Algerian government and people, and on instructions from the President of the People’s Democratic Republic of Algeria, Abdelmadjid Tebboune, Supreme Commander of the Armed Forces and Minister of National Defense, General of the Army Saïd Chanegriha, Minister Delegate to the Minister of National Defense and Chief of Staff of the People’s National Army, presented this evening, Thursday, 25 December 2025, his condolences and signed the condolence book opened at the embassy following the death of General of the Army Mohammed Ali Ahmed Al-Haddad, Chief of the General Staff of the Libyan Army, and the delegation accompanying him, as a result of the plane crash that occurred during their return to the country. The General of the Army expressed his most sincere condolences and deep feelings of compassion and solidarity to the families of the victims and to the entire brotherly Libyan people,” the same source added.
