Algerian President receives Eid al-Fitr congratulations from Turkish counterpart

ALGIERS – Algerian President Abdelmadjid Tebboune, received on Sunday a phone call from the President of the Republic of Turkey, Recep Tayyip Erdoğan, who extended his congratulations to both him and the Algerian people on the occasion of Eid al-Fitr, wishing Algeria continued prosperity and well-being, the Algerian Presidency said in a statement.

In return, President Tebboune congratulated President Erdoğan and expressed his best wishes for further progress and development for the Turkish people, the source said.

According to the statement, the two presidents also agreed to a forthcoming meeting on the occasion of their leadership of the joint high-level committee between the two countries. On the same occasion, the leaders expressed their hope for an urgent resolution to the suffering of the brotherly Palestinian people, who are enduring the most horrific forms of genocide in history.
