Algerian PM Receives Chad’s Minister of Petroleum, Mines and Geology

Algerian Prime Minister Sifi Ghrieb received Wednesday, at the Government Palace, Chad’s Minister of Petroleum, Mines and Geology, Ndolenodji Alixe Naimbaye, who handed him a letter to the President of the Republic Abdelmadjid Tebboune from Chadian President Mahamat Idriss Deby, the Prime Minister’s Office said in a statement. The discussions, held in the presence of the Minister of Energy and Mines Mohamed Arkab, “provided an opportunity to highlight the fraternal and solidarity ties between the two brotherly countries and explore bilateral cooperation prospects in hydrocarbons, energy, and mining,” said the source.
In this regard, the Chadian minister expressed deep satisfaction with the outcomes of her visit to Algeria and the cooperation prospects that were outlined between the two sides, emphasizing her country’s interest in drawing on Algeria’s expertise and building a bilateral partnership in energy and mining.
For his part, Prime Minister Sifi Ghrieb affirmed “Algeria’s readiness to boost bilateral cooperation with the Republic of Chad in various fields and support this brotherly country’s efforts to develop its hydrocarbons, energy and mining industries, in line with the shared vision of both countries’ leaders” expressed during their September’s meeting on the sidelines of the African Intra-Trade Fair in Algeria, added the source.
